The ENERGY STAR® Initiative in Canada

Choosing an ENERGY STAR-labelled product over a conventional model could save you hundreds of dollars in energy costs. For an energy-efficient household appliance, home heating or office equipment, consumer electronics or other products, look for the following ENERGY STAR symbols: ENERGY STAR high performance levels are defined for four types of household appliances that must have an EnerGuide label: refrigerators; clothes washers; dishwashers; and room air conditioners. At any given time there are many rebates and incentives in Canada for selected qualified products with/bearing the ENERGY STAR registered mark, see the web site below for info.
